Have you been given the run around by BT? Use a provider that cares about your business with first class support and monitoring

Why your company needs a Business Internet Service

Lots of businesses are using mainstream service providers for their Internet services now, but what happens when something goes wrong?

If a service provider supplies an Internet Router and this fails – they can often take days to diagnose and send a replacement – alternatively if a fault is due to customer provided equipment (your router for example) it can be chargeable as it is unsupported by the current service provider making their engineer call outs to your premises costly (a typical BT call out is around £250)

What type of services can we provide?

ADSL2+

ADSL connections connect your premises back to the local phone exchange with copper cabling. Maximum speeds are 24Mb downstream and 1Mb upstream – although this drops significantly the further you are from the phone exchange.

Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC)

As part of their Fibre rollout BT Openreach have connected many phone cabinets (green boxes like the one on the right) to phone Exchanges using Fibre Optic cables. This enables the length of the copper cabling from your premises to be drastically reduced – as such the maximum Broadband speed rises to 80Mb downstream and 20Mb upstream. This will drop the further you are away from the phone cabinet, but in almost all cases this is significantly closer than the phone exchange is.

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)

Businesses can have a direct Fibre Optic connection into their premises and the Broadband speed can be quicker than ADSL or even FTTC (up to 1Gb). This product requires a site survey and quotation.

Leased Line

Still at the top of the pile when it comes to Internet connections is the Leased Line. This product is delivered on a dedicated Fibre optic connection into the premises and the bandwidth isn’t shared upstream (unlike FTTP above). Leased Line’s come complete with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that give you assurance that if your connection goes down it must be fixed within a certain small time period.

Wireless Broadband

Are you based in a rural location and can’t get a good speed with a traditional connection? Using our Wireless Broadband partners we can help get you connected to the Internet with speeds up to 100Mb (Location Dependant)
